Tube 2: Fun and Video Games: A Waste of Time, or the Key to Connection?
By Lang Tien
We, Christians, have a reputation for being too ‘serious’. The Church’s negative response to the rise of video gaming as a mainstream hobby lends some credence to this perception. Can video games be redeemed? If so, can we harness the power of good old fun to foster deeper connections with others in the name of Jesus?
Tube 3: Immersing in the Word through VR Art
By Patrick Bezalel
Patrick will be sharing about exploring VR spaces for art and community building, as well as how the Gospel can be spread by engaging in new art spaces for the nextgen.
Tube 4: Discipling in Minecraft for AlphaGen and GenZ
By Lily Chia
Lily will share how a Christian Minecraft Server has been created to engage the AlphaGen and GenZ to build community in the metaverse and to grow in the Word of God together through playing!
Tube 5: From Zero to #Hack: A Local Church’s Digital Transformation Journey
By Johnny Lim and Solomon Sim
Dive into the inspiring journey of a 138-year-old church as they remarkably bootstrap a hackathon in their first year of setting up a digital ministry. Join Digital Wesley and Indigitous as they share invaluable insights from their incredible partnership to organize #HACK2023. Be inspired to become digital champions within your own church, forging pathways for Kingdom Impact. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to actively engage in a hands-on hackathon experience and learn how real-world problems can be solved through technology. Discover the power of leveraging hackathons to spark communities to drive innovation for the Gospel.
Tube 6: AI and Ethics
By Jason Tamara Widjaja
This session will explore ethical risks and issues related to the rising use of AI in society and Church. There will be a presentation highlighting potential applications of AI in the Church, and risks and ethical issues in both traditional AI and more recently generative AI. This will be followed by a facilitated Q&A session and discussion, with the goal to equip church leaders with the knowledge and tools to make wise and informed decisions about AI as it increases in prominence.
Tube 7: Defining Your Church/Movement’s Digital Strategy
By David Mak
We all see that need to go digital, but what exactly is a “Digital Strategy”? Where can we begin to make sure we start well to potentially end well? This workshop teaches the framework to design the right pathway(s) forward to help Church, movements or organisations to use digital effectively in ministry.
